Chicks with Picks
What began as a chance meeting at a karaoke night has blossomed into one of the most entertaining, popular and exciting acoustic acts on the Chicago music scene in years. Formed in 2005, Chicks with Picks is comprised of the vocal stylings of singer/songwriter, Michele Miller, and amazing guitar and vocals of Marianne Sullivan. No matter the venue, occasion or crowd, the Chicks will keep you entertained the ENTIRE night with their renditions of familiar hits from the 60s thru today! In addition to their intoxicating harmonies, another thing that makes this duo so special, is the various innovative and AWESOME medleys and mashups that CWP performs! The Chicks with Picks duo has over 400 songs in their catalog, covering various artists and nearly every music genre. Most nights, Marianne and Michele perform a 3 set show, so odds are you will hear your favorite song! If not, request it, and if they don’t know it, they will probably add it to their repertoire for the next time! As a result of their increasing success and popularity, they expanded their brand to include Chicks with Picks Trio; and Chicks with Picks 2.0 full band. Whether it be a bar, restaurant, dance club, backyard barbecue, private party, wedding, etc., the Chicks will NOT disappoint! Always a great time…Always great music! CWP was a top 5 nominee for best acoustic duo in the 2010 Suburban Nites Magazine “Best of the Burbs” awards. They finished in the top 5 in the Chicago Rocker Magazine awards “Best Acoustic Band”. Chicks with Picks, humbly, appreciates the opportunity to perform on stages of all sizes, to do the thing that they love – Spreading fun, fellowship and happiness through music. Crowd interaction is a big part of their show. They make it impossible for patrons or guests to not want to join in the fun! The music is acoustic…The party is electric! Catch Chicks wt.
